Summer Germann has been a serial entrepreneur her entire adult life. She has numerous patents, trademarks and is also a published author. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be an advocate for children. Her first endeavor was developing a children’s fitness program which she implemented in various corporate and private schools such as Motorola, Bright Horizon’s, Kindercare, Le Petite, public schools and libraries. She then went on to develop a footwear line that was ultimately purchased within the first year. This led her back to once again finding her passion, children. Through her company, Summer In LA, LLC, Summer developed The Trust Journal, which is a physical and confidential journal that is meant to be shared between a child and an adult. Trust Journals act as a bridge to resolve any issues or problems together. With pressures of social media, unrealistic body images, online bullying, and child suicide rates soaring, today's youth are grappling with hard issues that have no easy answers. Through her 501(c)3, Happy Ditto, INC, Summer has donated thousands of journals to Boys and Girls Clubs, St. Judes, John Wayne Cancer Institute, women and children’s abuse shelters, churches and to numerous children’s hospitals. In early 2015, Summer, found her true life’s passion when she developed Brave Gowns in memory of her 10 year-old brother whom went to heaven from Leukemia. With 3 million children being admitted the hospital in the U.S. alone, Summer is determined to bring hope, strength and courage to every child battling a terminal illness at a time they need it most, by providing them with a Brave Gown.
