Koah was born at two-months-old with tumors in his abdomen that were malignant and removed. During the surgery he lost his spleen, half his pancreas, and the main artery to his liver. This left him with a risk of a liver transplant but he has done well so far and has retained remission to cancer since the surgery. Losing his spleen as a baby has caused him to be very sick and immunocompromised. Every fever he gets he is hospitalized ,and often leads to blood cultures to determine infections and how to fight them. In the past few months he was been hospitalized several times. He is in the hospital currently receiving IV antibiotics. He is now 5-years- old. He is very small. Thank you for your consideration for his application for a gown.
