 This gown will be gifted to Two-Year-Old Addison who is currently going through treatment for Myelomeningocele with a chiari 2 malformation. This is what Addy's family shared with us about her journey:

"The gown is for a 2-year old girl named Addison. She is a super happy kiddo, with a very big personality. While she is working on verbal communication, she has been quickly learning asl to communicate — and boy has she gotten good at it. Her favorite words to sign are “color” and “stop,” which tracks as far as 2-year olds go! 

Addy was born with myelomeningocele with a chiari 2 malformation, and hydrocephalus. By 4 months old she had 4 major surgeries — one surgery to repair her spine at birth, two surgeries to help relieve some of the pressure on her brain, and one surgery done to place a tracheostomy (which she is dependent on to be able to have an airway due to vocal cord paralysis - caused by the hydrocephalus). She has been successfully without a hospital stay for a year and a half, but unfortunately she needs to go inpatient to have multiple kidney stones removed next week, which is an unfortunate reality a lot of kiddos with a neurogenic bladder have to deal with."
