This gown will be gifted to Tony who is currently going through treatment. This is what Tony's family shared with us about his journey:
"This is for our son, Tony. Tony has been through a lot of procedures, tests, scans and surgeries since he was 6 years old. Tony has Autism and EoE. He has a G-tube (feeding tube put in place in 2019) to help maintain his weight. In the beginning of his EoE diagnosis, he was having to have biopsies every 6-9 months. We got control of it in 2022, so we now have to only do those tests once a year. When Tony was 10 years old, we found out that he had a tethered spinal cord. In 2021 and 2022, he had back-to-back surgeries to deal with that. In 2022, we found out that his has a non-cancerous tumor on his spinal cord. Since then, every 9 months Tony has been put under Anesthesia for a long MRI to check the tumor growth. With Tony's medical team, it has been decided that it is now time for the tumor to come out. It has grown and is now affecting Tony's legs and his hips. This time the surgery will be longer, the hospital stay will be longer, and for the first time we will be staying in the ICU for a few days. We are trying to make this upcoming surgery not so scary for Tony. Thank you for your consideration."
