This gown will be gifted to twenty-one-year-old Miranda who is going through treatment for a rare connective tissue disease. This is what Miranda shared with us:
"I have an extremely rare and aggressive connective tissue disease. It has taken my mobility (I’m full time in a wheelchair), caused intestinal and bladder failure (I am TPN/iv meds/iv fluid dependant, reliant on g and j drainage tubes, a Supra pubic catheter, and I am having ostomy surgery on January 6), caused debilitating symptoms, and much more. I live with my parents (who I’m very close with), and rely on them as caregivers. I am regularly hospitalized and have frequent surgeries, and hospital gowns are always way too big for me. They fall off my shoulders and tangle around my legs, so getting a brave gown to wear instead would be really helpful."
