This gown will be gifted to four-year-old Koe who is currently awaiting his fifth surgery. This is what Koe's Mom shared with us about his journey:

"Koe is about to undergo his 5th surgery, and what feels like our 100th hospital stay. He is a medically complex little boy who has already been through more in his four years than most children ever have to experience. On top of his medical challenges, Koe is autistic, which can make hospital visits, procedures, unfamiliar environments, and all the changes that come with being admitted especially difficult for him.

As his mom, I’m always looking for ways to make these experiences a little less scary and a little more positive for him. This upcoming surgery is no different. I would absolutely love to make it feel magical and special rather than focusing on the fear and uncertainty that usually comes with surgery day.

A Brave Gown would mean so much to Koe. Having something special to wear something that makes him feel brave, like the superhero he truly is, would bring a little bit of joy and excitement into an experience that can otherwise be overwhelming.

Koe has fought so hard over the last four years. He has endured surgeries, hospital stays, procedures, therapies, and countless difficult days, yet he continues to show us just how strong and resilient he is. He may be little, but he is one of the bravest people I know.
