Chicagoland CHD (Congenital Heart Defect) Brave Gowns Drive!
Please join the following Chicagoland heart families to fill Chicago hospital: Advocate Heart Institute-Busking Family PCICU and Lurie Children’s Hospital-Regenstein CCU with soft, bright-colored gowns in honor of Heart Month (February) and CHD Awareness Week (Feb. 7-14)!
CHDs are America’s most common birth defect, affecting nearly 40,000 babies each year in the U.S alone. This equates to 1 child every 15 minutes.
Being a child stuck in the hospital is tough. Brave Gowns provide children with a sense of courage and normalcy during a scary time. A Brave Gown is a high-quality gown, that easily snaps on the side, and makes it easier to access every part of a patient's body while maintaining privacy. This allows the child to play or sleep with minimal disruption so they can rest and heal in peace and comfort while looking like a superhero, princess or their favorite animal! We'd love your help to provide every child, hospitalized in the Chicagoland area with a CHD Brave Gown during the month of February!
