Give a child in the hospital comfort, courage, and a chance to feel like a kid.

When Brave Gowns reached out to ask for my help clearing their waitlist this holiday season, I didn’t hesitate. Kids have so little choice in the hospital. A Brave Gown gives them a way to express what makes them special, feel like themselves, and simply be kid, even during treatment. These gowns let a child’s personality shine through even during some of their hardest days. A favorite dinosaur, a superhero, a little bit of magic. Something soft and comforting that can make treatment feel a little less scary. We want every child to have that comfort, from the child wearing a Brave Gown to the one in the next hospital bed. Hospitals have nurses trying to raise money themselves because they see every day how much these gowns mean to the kids.

That’s why Brave Gowns needs our help. They have requests for more than 10,000 gowns from families who can’t afford them and children’s hospitals waiting to receive them. We can’t take away what these children are facing, but we can give them something to face it in.
