This gown will be gifted to three-year-old who is awaiting open heart surgery. His Mother had this to share with us:
"he’s about to go in for his open heart surgery. He’s had a couple since he was born, but now that he’s a bit older we’re trying to find ways to make him feel comfortable, brave and encouraged about his hospital stay. He was born with a Congenital Heart Defect and is very aware that he has had surgeries and will be having one soon. He’s funny, kind, loving and just a whole ball of excitement. Not only is the idea of surgery scary for him, we also have to leave our home (Hawai’i) to have his surgery done in San Diego."
