On February 24th, while her mom was in labor, 18-month-old Lilah suddenly had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. A scan revealed a mass on her brain, and within hours she was transferred to a children’s hospital for more testing.
Just days later, on March 3rd, Lilah underwent brain surgery, and the entire tumor was successfully removed! Her strength amazed everyone around her. Soon after, doctors confirmed she has a very rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, with only 58 documented cases in the U.S. last year. Lilah has begun months of chemotherapy and stem-cell treatment.
Now, two-year-old, Lilah, and her family are turning her bravery into purpose - by helping Brave Gowns clear the waitlist for children in hospitals across the country!
Brave Gowns reached out asking for our help to raise awareness and bring the holidays to children that will spend their Halloween and holiday season away from home and family, while in treatment.💛
This Halloween, Lilah wants every child on that list to receive a Brave Gown — a soft, colorful, hospital-approved gown that helps kids feel safe, seen, and brave during treatment. Together we can clear the Brave Gowns waitlist and bring Halloween to children that won't be able to trick or treat, because every child deserves to feel brave this Halloween.
