Please Help Callie Gift Brave Gowns To Other Children At Cincinnati Children's Hospital

$ 25.00

By sponsoring a gown through this link you will not only be spreading Brave Gowns, but you will also be supporting Callie's family at this devastating time! Callie has been up against stage 4 Neuroblastoma for over a year.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I always have hope and believe in miracles. I've seen them first hand. When Callie's family reached out last night with nothing more than a "Hey" at 2:00am, I knew they were devastated. There are so many special parts of their story, that I don't no where to begin. I think the best would be that the day of their final adoption, they had to leave Callie with family at the hospital, because it was just after diagnosis and it was the day of her chest port incision. Here they were on the day they had hoped and prayed for and this was their reality. I am so in awe of their hearts and strength.

Fast forward to yesterday, where after two STEM CELL Transplants (which we went through and the toll it takes on the body is something that I wish upon no one, especially a child), to the news of yesterday that the tumor in her kidney has progressed rapidly in the last three weeks while on immunotherapy. It is now wrapped around her spinal cord and she also has a new tumor that is starting to grow in her left lung.

While I believe in miracles and will be praying from my core, I also can't imagine the devastation that her family feels. Just by writing this, I can still feel the realness of the moments we've lived 18 years ago. I started Brave Gowns to help families and this is our chance to step up!

By sponsoring a gown through this link, a Brave Gown will be going to a child at Cincy Children's and the proceeds will be going to Callie's family. I can't being to tell you how much it helps to cover the little things. Eating out three times a day, parking, gas, she has a brother that they are shifting around. If  you run out of toothpaste or anything and have to run to the closest pharmacy. It ALL adds up up quicker than you'd imagine.

They need a miracle and hope in this time, let's be that for them!

WHY ARE BRAVE GOWNS SO IMPACTFUL?
Being a child stuck in the hospital over the is tough. Having to wear an old, uncomfortable hospital gown makes the experience even worse. Brave Gowns are a variety of bright, fun, lively designs to suit every child's personality. No more dingy, lifeless pastel gowns that look and feel as if they have been washed numerous times. Brave Gowns transform the spirit of a child and allow them to travel using their imaginations, wherever their hearts desire!

We are so enthusiastic about our gowns because they are not your standard hospital gowns! Brave Gowns have gone through extensive Clinical Pilot Programs in the children's hospital network and were created with the input of a transplant team at Lurie's Children's Hospital. Not only do they have fun prints that cover the entire front like costumes; they are made out of an amazingly soft fabric that resembles your soft, favorite t-shirt, or nightgown! They have IV access on both sleeves, access to chest ports and heart monitors. No more having to worry about a draft or the back opening. While the gowns are softer then you can even imagine, they meet all hospital standards and hold up to industrial washings competing with gowns being offered currently.  Brave Gown is a high-quality gown, that helps eliminate infections in chest port and makes it easier to access every part of a patient's body!
