By 4 months old she had 4 major surgeries — one surgery to repair her spine at birth, two surgeries to help relieve some of the pressure on her brain, and one surgery done to place a tracheostomy (which she is dependent on to be able to have an airway due to vocal cord paralysis - caused by the hydrocephalus).
