I remember so vividly reading Kassady's words praying it wasn't so. I sat down with a heavy heart, probably just like all of you:
"Milo went home to Jesus this morning. He didn't lose his battle, he gained the greatest reward; heavenly healing. He looked more peaceful than ever, and even looked like he was almost smiling again," Kassady continued. "I know he's smiling in heaven. His body may be gone, but he's still here. Every day is one day closer to you, bubba. I can't wait to continue raising you in heaven in your perfect, healthy body. Mommy loves you."
I can't even imagine writing those words, yet I can remember watching my mom's heart endure this pain after my little brother went to heaven. My purpose in life since has been to help other families through some of their hardest moments.
When Milo went to heaven on my birthday, I knew instantly that I wanted to do the something to help bring a little peace to Kassady's heart in honor of Milo. I just didn't know how. When I saw Kassady post the incredible drawing that is on this mask, it just hit me. That's how these winks from heaven work. Little boys playing in heaven seem to know just when to send a sign. Please help us bring a little light to Kassady, Konnor & Lucca. How wonderful would it be for them to see all the pictures of supporters wearing Milo's mask from all around the world.
